Late model air-conditioned 4WD vehicles, all meals (as listed on itineraries), camping equipment, swags and pillows, sleeping bags, reference books and supplies of drinking water (must have your own bottle).
All our equipment is purchased with quality and durability in mind. Our swags for example are fitted with Dunlop high density foam mattresses. This mattress is the best and most comfortable money can buy. We provide high quality sleeping bags rated to minus 10° for those cold desert nights.
Your added comfort and safety adds to your overall experience and enjoyment. From our prospective this increases the chance of you recommending us to your friends, family and other adventure travellers.
Ample quality drinking water will be available for the duration of your trek as there is no running water in the MacDonnell Ranges. Limited water for washing, etc, will be made available at the conclusion of each day.
Opportunity will exist on two days of your trek to have a shower at either Ormiston or Glen Helen. These facilities could cost up to $5/person.
During the walks or at our camp sites there may be water holes which you can swim and bathe in although the water will be cold. We discourage the use of Shampoos or Soaps in any of the area’s natural water holes so as to leave them in the state we find them.
The food is varied and of excellent quality and quantity with fresh vegetables, fruits and salads. The food required for the duration of the tour is purchased before departing Alice Springs. There are no supermarkets or local stores to acquire additional food once on tour so if you have any dislikes or specific dietary needs, please ensure these are made clear to our reservation staff or your travel agent whilst making your booking.
All meat dishes are cooked separately from the remainder of our meals catering to any vegetarian requirements.
